Tunley Rod & Bar is a major manufacturer of fencing components in the UK. It supplies many of the leading fencing accessory companies and also fence, gate and wrought iron manufacturers. Specialising in plain round bar and fencing size flats gives us the economy of scale when purchasing from steel mills, in turn giving our customers the chance of a competitive edge in the market place. Our customer base has grown over the years by being able to offer a one stop shop for rod and bar products cut to length in different formats to suit the application, bending of bow top hoops and the punching of the flat rails.

Sawn Bar

Many stockholders shy away from sawing small round bar due to high blade usage when bundle cutting. Here at Tunley Rod & Bar production saw cutting especially of round bar is our forte and because on many diameters we are able to utilise back ends and off cuts we are very competitive on prices, as a result you only pay for what steel you require.

Bow Top Hoops

Probably the largest manufacturer of fencing bows/hoops in the country the chances are if you have purchased hoops from a fencing components / accessory supplier you will have already made a gate or fence with our bars.
Our standard range of bows have 100mm gap between bars i.e. 12mm - 112mm ctrs., 16mm- 116ctrs. 20mm - 120ctrs.but 100mm & 110mm centres are also popular. (Other centres are available, ask for details.)
We are able to produce any overall height you require and because we work to good a tolerance you will not need to cut them back to size or pay extra as with some of our competitors!

• Typical Bow Top Sizes are :
• 12mm: 850mm, 900mm, 950mm, 1150mm & 1450mm
• 16mm: 950mm, 1150mm & 1450mm
• 20mm: 1750mm & 1950mm

Punched Bar

To go with our bow top bar and cut length vertical bar why not use our punched flat horizontal railing bar perfectly matched to make your manufacturing process easy. Our flats are produced using a computer controlled punching machine ensuring accuracy and consistency then rolled flat and slotted if required. We normally punch as 2mm oversize hole to allow for quicker and easier manufacture. Other applications include estate fencing, open flooring and grating etc.

Pointing & Chamfering

We are able to offer a pointing and chamfering facility on solid round bars, ideal for a professional finish to your straight railing or added deterrent security feature.

Welded Steel Balls & Spheres

We supply a range of solid mild steel weldable balls suitable for fencing applications. Our most popular sizes are 20mm, 25mm & 30mm available loose or we can supply them welded to the end of round or square bar. All you have to do is weld them into our punched rails!
